Every year, approximately one out of five American adults will experience at least one major depressive episode.
The vast majority of those treated for depression show an improvement in their symptoms -- usually within four to six weeks -- after beginning medication, psychotherapy, peer support, or a combination of these (and other) approaches.

To get the help you want and need, consider any or all of these suggestions:
Attend a LiveWell support group today
Talk to your primary care (or other) physician
Find a mental health professional in your area
Find an online therapist (if you can't see one in-person)
Google 'depression support group' in your area
Start educating yourself, because knowledge is power
Ask someone you trust to help you find support
