This group of trained peers from diverse backgrounds and professions with their own lived experience of depression and resilience are the heart and soul of LiveWell. They volunteer to lead LiveWell support groups in their community or online so that all people can access free and effective care. Here's our current crew...
Amy is a social worker and educator who inspires people to use mindfulness practices for good mental health.
BJ is an artist and facilitates the LiveWell Seniors support group.
Charles is as an empath, podcast listener, and enjoyer of sleep and carbohydrates who "make things in ableton." He is grateful to be part of the LiveWell family.
David works in tech and spends his free time learning how to adult.
Helena is a translator and counselor who enjoys nature, bookclubs and crafts.
Originally from Rochester, NY, J. has experience in teaching, peer counseling, and community volunteer work.
Judy is a professor emeritus with expertise in psychology and gerontology from Philadelphia who helps lead the Seniors support group.
Linda is a pediatrician in New York and works with trainees on resiliency and wellness. She facilitates the physician group.
Nikki lives in Lexington., KY. She loves traveling, reading historical and science fiction, and hearing new stories from old friends.
Petra is an attorney who also serves on the LiveWell Foundation Board of Directors.
Ryan is passionate about helping others on their journey of finding and maintaining balance and wellness. He brings his lived experience of depression and addiction to the Recovery Group.
Shannon is an educator and substance use disorder counselor passionate about helping people transition from tribulation to triumph.
Sunny is an Analyst who believes everyone should be allowed to be the best versions of themselves. Her life mission is to make people smile and push themselves to overcome challenges.
Tony works in finance and accounting for a nonprofit. He enjoys coffee, musical theater, and practicing listening skills.
Amanda is our self-proclaimed "resident goofball" who strives to keep groups light and lively. A crafter and nature lover, with experience in special event planning and public relations.
Ben incorporates his experience as a freelance journalist and passion for philosophy into his group facilitation style.
Clancy is an educator and visual artist whose work has been shown across the U.S. He is also the co-creator of the LiveWell Teens Program.
Eli is a retired IT professional with a special interest in positively impacting the lives of others.
Ilona loves travel, spending time in nature and "fooling around with words" (writing).
Janine (she/her) is a singer-songwriting Londoner (currently residing in S.E. Asia) who is passionate about self-development, personal growth education, and wellness.
Karina is a Social Worker and the LiveWell Program Director.
Michael is a surgeon and mental health advocate for physicians and all people aiming to live a healthy life.
Olivia (she/her) is a psychology student and yoga instructo. Her passions include making music, water-based activities, and spreading the word about LiveWell!
Purple is a student who wants to help break mental health stigma and has hopes of becoming a Neuropsychologist.
Saji is a current facilitator of the online LiveWell Teens support group.
Shantal works in tech and enjoys comedy, travel, and cooking with friends & family. She is a life-long learner and has a passion for personal development.

Toshi is a mental health advocate and facilitator at the LiveWell Recovery group.
Ari lives in Brooklyn and enjoys volunteering and 'living' the LiveWell Strategies of Challenge the Stigma of Depression and Taking Action by volunteering as a peer facilitator.
Beth is an "outside of the box" pediatrician who helps lead the LiveWell Physicians support groups.
Cookie is a 40+ year veteran TV producer and current freelance writer. She loves Baroque and jazz music; reads everything, and is grateful for LiveWell because it changed her life!
Eric is a Professional Certified Coach & certified practitioner of Applied Positive Psychology.
Isaac is a coach and professional figure skater who performs internationally.
Joanne is a hospital volunteer who also serves on the LiveWell Board of Directors.
Lasya is a PhD candidate studying neuroscience and is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of others through mental health advocacy, cultural awareness, and kindness.
MJ (she/her) is a student studying psychology in hopes of becoming a LMHC one day.
Pat is a retired public health professional and co-facilitator of the Seniors support group.
Rick is an administrator and teacher in Special Education and an advocate for mental wellness.
Sarah brings her education, professional, and personal experiences to LiveWell. She is passionate about her recovery and breaking the mental health stigma.
Shaun went from leading an in-person support group at the William Way LGBTQ Center in Philadelphia to now supporting his peers across the country online.
A proud full-time Dad, Tom went from leading the local West Philadelphia in-person support group to now supporting his peers across the country online.
Bridget is a social worker in Philadelphia who helps facilitate the LiveWell Teens Support Group.
Bruce is a retired anesthesiologist who believes the stigma surrounding mental health must be fought on all fronts.
Daniel is a professor of Humanities at a university in Philadelphia.
Emily (she/her) is a graduate student passionate about mental health access for all, and creating spaces for people to find their purpose and cultivate their own happiness.
Jeff is a health care clinician who resides in Philadelphia. The LiveWell community is very
special to him, and he wants to give back to it as much as he can.
Jodi is an accountant with a passion for traveling and adventure.
Laurie came to LiveWell through yoga and is grateful for the opportunity to give back as a co-facilitator of the Seniors Support Group.
Mu is a teacher of youth of all ages, and daily runs more miles than we can count.
Peter is a CNA, a proud dad and husband, and a helps to facilitate the LiveWell Wisdom support group.
