Another American dies by suicide every 11 minutes; depression
is the leading cause.
Depression is the leading cause of disability in the U.S., with the highest economic burden of any chronic health issue: an annual cost of $236 billion.
Untreated depression and suicide are devasting the lives of individuals, their families and our communities. We're on a mission to change that!

With both the public and private health systems failing to meet the needs of millions of Americans, LiveWell is creating a new and sustainable social infrastructure of mental health support by putting free and easy-to-access, high-quality depression support and education into the hands of people themselves.

Since 2020, the peer-driven, volunteer-run
LiveWell Program has grown to become a national community of diverse people with depression who are dedicated to empowering each other to live well.
Our Impact: Not All Peer Support is Created Equal
Utilizing social networks for widespread individual behavioral change, LiveWell's peer-led, educational-based free support groups are empowering individuals to transform their own lives, and building healthier and more resilient communities.
